Принадлежность средств и продуктов производства определенным лицам - индивидам или коллективам - в определенных исторических условиях, отражающих конкретный тип отношений собственности. Право собственности как право конкретных субъектов на определенные объекты (имущество) сводится, как правило, к трем правомочиям:

Право владения - предоставляемая законом возможность фактического обладания вещью и удержания ее в собственном владении.
