ἕρκος, τό (ἔργω, εἴργω), 1) Einschluß, Einfriedigung, Umhägung, Zaun, πᾶν, ὅσον ἂν ἕνεκα κωλύσεως εἴργῃ τι περιέχον ἕρκος εἰκὸς ὀνομάζειν Plat. Soph. 220 c; so bei Hom.
