Наречия образа действия могут занимать место перед дополнением, если оно очень длинное:Не could very easily imagine the consequences of being found by the police.
Наречие образа действия fast, в отличие от других наречий этой группы, обычно стоит перед смысловым глаголом, который наиболее часто выступает в форме Continuous:They were fast becoming a popular party.
Наречия образа действия могут занимать положение перед смысловым, глаголом для усиления:She carefully wrapped each book.

(3). Наречия неопределенного времени, частоты, длительности, такие, как usually, always, never, ever, often, forever, occasionally, sometimes, constantly и др., как правило, стоят перед смысловым глаголом:Не usually rings me up on Sunday.

Наречие длительности long употребляется только в вопросительных и отрицательных предложениях. В отрицательных предложениях long стоит после смыслового глагола. В утвердительных предложениях long употребляется в сочетаниях с so, too, enough и в сравнительном обороте as long as.Have you been waiting long?
I have not been there long.
I am afraid it is too long to go.
The report lasted long enough to bore the audience.
(4). Наречия степени могут занимать разное положение. Наречия a bit, a great deal, a lot, a little, very much, hard обычно стоят после смыслового глагола и дополнения. Большинство наречий степени стоит перед смысловым глаголом или перед прилагательным и числительным. (5). Наречия, выражающие мнение, возможность, вероятность, отношение, обычно относятся ко всему предложению и, как правило, стоят в начале предложения или перед смысловым глаголом. Наиболее часто употребляются такие наречия, как fortunately, unfortunately, luckily, naturally, probably, obviously. (6). Усилительные наречия обычно стоят после подлежащего или перед смысловым глаголом или перед тем словом, к которому они относятся:That just can't be done.
