En esta categoría existen secretos y rituales desconocidos para los que no pertenecen a ella. Una santera vieja me dice que "muchos babalawós solamente tienen el santo lavado, pero no asentado", por lo que no pueden pasar al cuarto de asiento. El santero necesita del babalawó para sacar el "itá" de quien hace santo. Tres babalawó son necesarios en rigor ritual para "bajar Orula"; en casos muy especiales se han necesitado más, hasta doce. Menos de tres no pueden bajar a Orula. El babalawó, como el santero, tiene "Ilé Ocha", hijos y conducta ritual general muy semejante a la del santero.
