Créée en juin 2003 par Rafi Haladjian, fondateur en 1994 de l’opérateur internet FranceNet, la société Ozone a pour objectif de développer le "réseau pervasif". Le réseau pervasif est la génération suivante de l’internet, qui permettra de connecter en tout lieu et en permanence tout type d’appareil à travers un réseau omniprésent. La première réalisation de cet opérateur unique en son genre est l’Ozone Paris, basé sur la technologie WiFi (wireless fidelity). Ozone Paris, d’abord disponible dans le 13e arrondissement, installe progressivement ses antennes dans tous les quartiers parisiens. "Dans les oZones, les zones couvertes par Ozone, les utilisateurs peuvent utiliser l’ensemble des services de l’internet: web, mail, téléphone sur internet, téléchargements, etc., chez eux comme au jardin public de leur quartier.
