21 ABC statement
отчет для Бюро по контролю за тиражами
Выпускаемый дважды в год издателем отчет, включающий статистическую информацию относительно своего периодического издания в соответствии с требованиями Бюро по контролю за тиражами (ABC) или Организации по контролю тиражей деловых публикаций (BPA), называемый также издательским отчетом. Он должен содержать информацию об оплаченных тиражах каждого из номеров за последние 6 месяцев. Бюро по контролю за тиражами требует, чтобы отчет показывал тиражи в зависимости от источника, его типа, месторасположения и продажной цены по сравнению с базовой ценой (basic rate). Организация по контролю тиражей деловых публикаций требует также такую демографическую информацию, как профессии читателей и отрасли промышленности, в которых они работают, в виде кодов Стандартной промышленной классификации (standardindustrial Classification). Отчет используется рекламодателями при выборе периодического издания для размещения рекламы и указывает те категории читателей, которые эта реклама будет охватывать. Отчеты потребительских журнал печатаются на розовой бумаге, и потому иногда их называют «розовыми листами». Они обычно используются в течение нескольких месяцев, до того как осуществляется их фактическая проверка Организацией по контролю тиражей деловых публикаций или Бюро по контролю за тиражами. Издатели предоставляют свою информацию в ABC или BPA в зависимости от того, какого типа рекламодателей они хотят привлечь. Доклад ABC обычно используется рекламодателями потребительских товаров, а доклад BPA - рекламодателями товаров производственного назначения. И хотя можно продавать рекламную площадь и без публикации отчета, большинство рекламодателей предпочитают иметь дело с теми изданиями, которые публикуют подвергающиеся проверке отчеты.
