fВилла Либермана на озере Ванзее, дом-музей художника Макса Либермана, экспозиция знакомит с жизнью и творчеством художника, представлены его картины, написанные в годы жизни в "замке на озере", как называл свой дом сам Либерман. Вилла построена в 1909 г., с тех пор семья художника проводила здесь каждое лето. За это время были созданы 200 полотен, художник писал их в парке, разбитом в соответствии с его идеями. В 1940 г. нацисты вынуждают вдову художника продать виллу государству (в 1943 г., не желая быть депортированной в концентрационный лагерь, она покончила жизнь самоубийством). 1. auf, I) Praep. A) zur Bezeichnung des ruhigen Nebeneinanderseins, auf die Frage wo? worauf?in m. Abl. – super m. Abl. (um die Oberfläche mehr anzudeuten, auf der sich etwas befindet). – In vielen Fällen jedoch, wo wir uns den Zustand der Ruhe schon eingetreten denken, bezeichnen die Lateiner die ihm vorhergegangene Richtung und Bewegung von einem Orte her, und es wird dann unser »auf« durch ex, de, auch ab zu geben sein; z. B. auf dem Marsche, auf der Reise, ex itinere (aber auch, in itinere, doch mit dem Untersch., daß in itin. ist während des M., so daß marschiert wurde, man auf dem M. begriffen ist, z. B. den Zug angreifen, agmen adoriri; ex it. vom Marsche aus, so daß derselbe eine Zeitlang unterbrochen wurde, z. B. einen Brief schicken, litteras mittere): so auch ex od. a fuga (u. in fuga, mit dem eben angegebenen Untersch.): auf dem rechten Flügel, a dextro cornu: auf der Mauer kämpfen, de moenibus pugnare. – Durch den Ablat. allein wird »auf« ausgedrückt: a) bei Substantiven örtlichen Begriffs, z. B. Bewaffnete auf der Mauer aufstellen, muris armatos disponere. – b) wenn ein Mittel u. Werkzeug ausgedrückt wird, z. B. auf dem Pferde reiten, equo vehi: auf der Flöte blasen, tibiis canere. – c) wenn es in einem mit einer Präposition zusammengesetzten Verbum enthalten ist, das dann den Dativ bei sich hat, z. B. auf dem Pferde sitzen, equo insidēre. – Häufig wird auch dem in u. Abl. (od. Akk.) od. dem bl. Abl. noch ein Partizip beigegeben, z. B. auf dem Pferde, in equo sedens. equo insidens. equo vectus (auf einem Ps. sitzend, reitend); equo impositus (auf ein Ps. gesetzt): auf einem Wagen. curru vectus (auf einem Wagen fahrend); in currum impositus (auf einen Wagen gesetzt). – od. es wird das »auf« durch ein Partizip deutlicher hervorgehoben, z. B. der Kranz auf dem Haupte, corona capiti imposita: die Villa auf dem Berge, villa colli superposita: auf den Knien, nixus genibus (z. B. a senatu petere): auf Walzen, phalangis subiectis (z. B. hoc opus omne ad turrim hostium admovere): auf ihren Schilden (liegend), cetris suppositis cubantes (z. B. flumen tranavere): auf Schläuchen (liegend), utribus incubantes (z. B. transnavere amnem). – auf... umher (herum), circum (z. B. circum villas errare, auf den Villen umherstreifen).
B) zur Angabe der Richtung nach etwas hin, auf die Frage wohin? u. zwar: 1) nach oben hin, hinauf: in m. Akk. – ad – 2) wohin? in m. Akk. – super m. Akk. ad. versus (um die ungefähre Richtung zu bezeichnen). – Bes. zu bemerken ist, daß nach den Verben setzen, legen, stellen etc.(ponere, collocare) in m. Abl. folgt, [187] weil sich der Lateiner den Zustand der Ruhe schon eingetreten denkt; z. B. auf den Tischlegen, ponere in mensa. – Häufig wird »auf« gar nicht übersetzt u. zwar: a) bei den Städtenamen und bei allen Wörtern, die auf gleiche Weise behandelt werden; z. B. auf das Land gehen, rus ire: auf die Erde, humi. – b) bei zusammengesetzten Verben, in denen der Begriff der Richtung schon liegt, z. B. auf das Pferd steigen, equum conscendere.
C) zur Bezeichnung der Ordnung und Folge, auf die Frage worauf? wonach?ex. de. ab (von... aus od. weg). – sub mit Akk. (gleich nach, unmittelbar auf). – post (nach übh.). – sogleich auf den Schlaf baden sie sich, statim e somno lavantur: nicht gut ist der Schlaf auf das Mittagsessen, non bonus somnus est de prandio: auf dieses Gespräch entlassen, ab hoc sermone dimissus: auf dieses Wort (des Fabius) rief man etc., sub hanc vocem succlamatum est etc.: auf das Mittagsessen ruhen, post cibum meridianum conquiescere. – Daher wird »auf« übertragen u. bezeichnet: a) gemäß: ad. secundum (in Übereinstimmung mit, nach). – ex (zufolge). – pro (im Verhältnis-, im Maßstabe zu etc.). – oder der bloße Abl. (= nach dem Erfordernis), z. B. auf deinen Befehl, iussu tuo: auf Treu und Glauben, bonā fide. – b) Veranlassung u. Folge einer Handlung: ob. propter. causā (wegen, s. das. die Synon.). – od. bl. der Abl., z. B. auf etwas stolz sein, superbire propter alqd od. bl. alqā re. – Häufig wird dieses Verhältnis genauer durch beigefügte Partizipien, wie motus, commotus, ductus, adductus, impulsus (bewogen, angetrieben etc.) zu geben sein; z. B. auf dein Bitten will ich es tun, tuis precibus motus faciam. – c) Wiederholung; z. B. Bote auf Bote meldete, crebri nuntii attulerunt: Küsse auf Küsse geben, savia super savia dare.
D) zur Bezeichnung der Art u. Weise, wie etwas geschieht: in od. ad mit Akk., auch durch Adverbia, z. B. auf feindliche Art, Weise, hostilem in modum; hostiliter.
E) werden die Begriffe des Raums u. des Ortes auf die Zeit übertragen u. zwar: 1) auf die Frage wann? Hier steht bl. der Ablativ, wenn man einen bestimmten, dagegen ad, wenn man einen unbestimmten Zeitpunkt angeben will, z. B. auf den Abend, vesperi (abends); ad vesperum (gegen Abend): auf die Stunde, auf den Tag, ad horam; ad diem. – 2) auf die Frage auf wann? auf wie lange? Hier steht in mit Akk., z. B. auf wenige Tage, in paucos dies. – Auch drücken die Lateiner dieses Verhältnis durch den Genetiv aus, z. B. gekochte Speisen auf 10 Tage, cibaria cocta dierum decem.
II) Adv., in der Verbdg.: auf und ab gehen, s. gehen no. I, 1. – auf u. ab, bei Zahlbestimmungen, plus minusve. plus minus (mehr od. weniger); ferme (so ziemlich, an die).
