En este ultimo cometido trabaja para RKO, pero vuelve a MGM a mediados de esa misma decada. Su temprana muerte impide evaluar sus posibilidades reales, pese a que cuenta con una filmografia nada desdenable numericamente. Sus escasas 20 peli culas como realizador nos lo muestran como un director de genero no demasiado imaginativo y muy eclectico, predominando en su obra la comedia melodramatica y el drama puro y duro. Un unico western completa, a modo de guinda exotica, su filmografia.The Bad Man of Brimstone (El tigre de Arizona). 1937. 89 minutos. Blanco y Negro. MGM.
