Y son las abejas sin lugar a dudas, los únicos seres de toda la Creación, que sólo se alimentan con el néctar de las flores, fecundándolas a la vez con más profundidad y eficiencia que pueda hacer ningún otro insecto. La matanza de las abéas se hacía siempre denuétche (de noche). Se hacía una cuandia (poza) en la tierra de la lloxa (huerto) dou échas entrebanaben (donde ellas se acolmenaban) y dembaxu (debajo) del truébanu que tou 'l taba 'l entestate, (de la colmena que toda ella estaba abierta) se metía una mecha de azufre y con el fumu (humo) que de este químico se desprendía, las abejas amoriaben, (se entontecían) cayendo todas dientru 'l fuexu 'morrentáes (dentro el pozo medio muertas), no quedando dentro del truébanu namái qu’angunus zánganus que fasta pa morrer yeren folgazanes. (Dentro de la colmena nada más que algunos zánganos que hasta para morir eran holgazanes). Una vez muertas las abejas se enterraban dentro de la cuandia dou morrieran (de la poza donde habían muerto) y después se procedía a sacar los caxiétchus del truébanu que se xacupaben dientru una maxeruca fecha pa tal cheldar (los panales de la colmena que se vertían dentro de una artesa hecha para tal acontecer), y con la cueta de lus gruéxus (con el canto de las hachas) se mayaban fasta que tou échu se fexera trelda.
