δῖος, fem. δῑα, δία und δίη, neutr. δῖον, himmlisch. Von Gottheiten, von Menschen, von Pferden, von Meer, Erde, Luft, von Flüssen, Ländern, Städten. Es empfiehlt sich, eine allgemeinere Bdtg von δῖος anzunehmen. Besser jedoch ist es wohl, auf den Umstand zurückzugehn, daß der Gott Ζεύς nichts Anderes ist als eine Personifikation des klaren, lichten Himmels: Ζεύς ( Δίς) genit. Διός; Sanskrit divjami glänzen, div das Leuchten, der Himmel, djô nominat. djâus Himmel, Himmelsgott, divjas himmlisch, divam Tag, Latein. Diovis, deus, divus, sub dio, dies. Hiernach wäre δῖος = »der himmlische«, »der dem leuchtenden Himmel (personifiziert ›dem leuchtenden Himmelsgott‹) angehörige«, »der lichte«, »leuchtende«, »strahlende«, »glänzende«, »der hervorleuchtende«, »sich auszeichnende«, »ausgezeichnete«, »vortreffliche«, »herrliche«. Während in den meisten Fällen das Wort in übertragenem Sinne zu nehmen sein wird, tritt eine rein physische Bedeutung unverkennbar hervor in dem Ausdrucke αἰϑήρ δῖα »nachdem noch unmittelbar vorher (ἐκ) αἰϑὴρ δῖα gewesen war, d. h. klare Luft, unbewölkter Himmel«. Seine ursprünglichste physische Bedeutung hat δῖος: ὁ δ' ἐς αἰϑέρα δῖαν ἀέρϑη, »er hob sich in den klaren (heiteren, lichten, strahlenden, von Wolken nicht verhüllten) Aether«. Auch dem Ausdrucke ἠὼς δῖα liegt wohl unzweifelhaft eine rein physische Vorstellung zu Grunde: die am klaren Himmel erscheinende Morgenröte. Flüsse haben das Epitheton δῖος wohl in demselben Sinne, in welchem sie bei ihm das Epitheton διιπετής haben: das vom Himmel herabkommende Regenwasser nährt die Quellen der irdischen Gewässer. Sittliche Nebenbedeutung ist dem Worte nicht abzusprechen. ϑεῖος »göttlich« und δῖος »himmlisch« treten nebeneinander auf. -

Если же имя собственное не эсперантизировано, то оно может присоединять к себе окончание винительного падежа непосредственно или через дефис (если имя собственное оканчивается на гласный): mi renkontis Anna/n, mi renkontis Anna-n я встретил анну, либо вообще не принимать этого окончания: mi renkontis Anna я встретил анну; li konis Zamenhof он знал Заменгофа; veni en Soĉi прибыть в Сочи. Всё сказанное относится и к именам собственным, состоящим из неэсперантизированных имени и фамилии. Употреблением в обстоятельственных оборотах аккузатива вместо предлога по сути дела можно считать случаи, описанные в п. 3 б, в, г, д: labori dum la tuta tago = labori la tuta/n tago/n; atendi dum momento = atendi momento/n; kunveni en ĉiu vendredo = kunveni ĉiu/n vendredo/n; en unu bela tago reveni = unu bela/n tago/n reveni; forveturi je du tagoj post tio = forveturi du tagoj/n post tio; okazi en (или je) la kvara de junio = okazi la kvara/n de junio; stari je kelkaj paŝoj malantaŭe = stari kelkaj/n paŝoj/n malantaŭe; pezi je unu kilogramo = pezi unu kilogramo/n; pendi kun la kapo malsupren = pendi la kapo/n malsupren; aĝa je dek jaroj = dek jaroj/n aĝa. Также имеются случаи употребления аккузатива вместо предлога и в косвенных дополнениях: ĉeesti en kunveno = ĉeesti kunveno/n; ridi je (или pri, или pro) ies naiveco = ridi ies naiveco/n; это особенно характерно для приставочных глаголов направленного движения, в которых приставка совпадает с предлогом, управляющим дополнением: aliri al fenestro = aliri fenestro/n; trakuri tra strato = trakuri strato/n (с этими фразами нельзя путать фразу subfali sub neĝo, в которой слово neĝo не обозначает объект, к которому или относительно которого направлено движение). При глаголах направленного движения в обстоятельственных оборотах и косвенных дополнениях, выражающих направление к какому-л. объекту (или относительно какого-л. объекта) с помощью аккузатива, может опускаться предлог en: iri en sia/n ĉambro/n = iri sia/n ĉambro/n; veturi en Moskvo/n = veturi Moskvo/n, а также другие предлоги, совпадающие с приставкой глагола: suriri sur monto/n = suriri monto/n; surveturi sur iu/n = surveturi iu/n; transkuri trans strato/n = transkuri strato/n. Косвенное дополнение, в котором предлог заменён аккузативом или опущен при уже имеющемся аккузативе, по сути дела превращается в прямое, а глагол употребляется как переходный. (Именно поэтому такое преобразование дополнения нехарактерно при явно непереходных глаголах с суффиксом -iĝ-: alproksimiĝi al fenestro; при этих глаголах нехарактерно и опускание предлога в обстоятельственных оборотах направления: moviĝi en urbo/n; тж. смотри прим. к статье -iĝ-.) В результате всего этого различия между переходными и непереходными глаголами в эсперанто стираются. Необходимо помнить, что такое употребление аккузатива возможно, только если оно не ведёт к искажению смысла. Кроме того, поскольку винительный падеж направления всегда указывает на движение к объекту и никогда — на движение от него, заменять аккузативом указывающие на удаление от объекта предлоги de и el нельзя; прим. 7. в предложении нельзя допускать сочетания дополнений в винительном падеже, могущего привести к путанице.
