Блага (товары и услуги), спрос на которые при любой цене растет по мере роста доходов. При этом эластичность спроса от дохода — положительна. Другое название таких благ — ценные. Если рассматривать множество товаров (или других благ), то n-й товар называется нормальным или ценным, если при увеличении дохода спрос на этот товар также увеличивается. Иными словами, частная производная рассматриваемой функции спроса по этому товару больше нуля. В противном случае имеем товар малоценный (ср. также Гиффина товары, Веблена. парадокс, Низшие, низкокачественные блага).
