* * *dimenticare/dimenti'kare/ [1]Sul verbo to forget, equivalente italiano di dimenticare / dimenticarsi, vanno notati due usi particolari. - Quando si precisa il luogo dove qualcosa è stato dimenticato, il verbo to forget va sostituito dal verbo to leave: "hai dimenticato le chiavi un'altra volta!" "sì, mi spiace, devo averle dimenticate sul tavolo della cucina" = "you have forgotten your keys again!"
