Abrañar es alinear, arreglar en todas sus vertientes al ganado, no sólo el que se encuentra en las brañas, puertos o morteras, sino también el que permanece en las cortes (cuadras) de la misma aldea. (Un trozo de pan de maíz o escanda). Chuéu, despós, endutbechábame nel xergoncín de paya, ya xurniaba toa la nuétche comu 'n anxelín del cielu xebráu de la man del sou Faedor. Existe la creencia entre las gentes de mi Tierra no documentadas en las ancestrales y hermosas costumbres de nuestras embrujadoras aldeas, creencia divulgada por escritores que no saben dónde tiene, pongo como ejemplo el caldar la vaca (ubre), de que en Asturias no hay más vaqueirus que los de la Alzada y no recuerdo en estos momentos qué otro lugar. Mas yo les digo ahora que esos babayus de despacho que se reúnen en cabanáes (rebaños) formando las infantiles y ridículas sociedades de «Amigos del Bable» o del «Conceyu del Bable», etc., etc., que lo único que saben es buscar una popularidad ya muxiyes la corexa a les ñobles xentes de miou Tierrina (y ordeñarles la cartera a las nobles gentes de mi Tierra).
