Эта неуверенность самой картины (делающая ее в наши дни весьма современной) налагает большие требования к актерам. И если суть работы с актерами в том, чтобы постоянно добиваться от них больше ожидаемого, то Лайсен – бесспорно, один из лучших актерских режиссеров в Голливуде.
