The words ἐν πόλει, ἐν ἐρημίᾳ, ἐν θαλάσσῃ (Plut., Mor. 603e κινδύνους ἐν θαλ.), ἐν ψευδαδέλφοις ibid. c have a somewhat different sense, and indicate the place where the danger lurks (cp. Ps.-Ael.
