During this parade (or “paseíllo”), the bullfighters, wearing their colourful costumes (known as “trajes de luces”), lead in their teams of assistants (“subalternos”) and picadors. First the bull is provoked into charging by a series of passes (the “pases de capote”) made with a red and yellow coloured cape. This is followed by the three main stages of the bullfight.
