En este retazo de la poesía «L'Atapecer de L'Aldina», de Xulín de Lluza, se puede apreciar lo que significa la palabra apelucar, que con más asiduidad se nombra cuando se trata de la espiga. —Ya nun se macha l'espiga, / qu'apelucá nus panzales / s'embalaga n'antexana / d'enría de fortes mantes, / p'esfaela nes erguines / ximientes d'oitres panzales. —Ya nun se ven les muyeres / conel banu ente les manes, / banucandu 'xoforáes, / xebrandu la bona escanda / de les poxes esbítchaes. —Ya nun canten lus carrinus, / nun ruxen sous cantaories, / per el pesu d'esquirpiáes / d'espigues apelucáes / e nus roxinus panzales. La recolecta o «coyedura» del pan, era una faena que por regla general se solía efectuar en andechas, con gentes a «Xornal» (jornal) y algunas «agavita» (ayuda sin sueldo). Este trabajo cansado y sucio, ya que uno se pone negro del polvo que se desprende de las pajas, por estar muchas ya medio podridas, se empieza temprano solamente cuando no hubo «orbayaína» (escarcha de ninguna clase), y esto suele ser muy pocas veces, porque en las maravillosas noches de mis embrujantes aldeinas, siempre existe un frescor sano y natural del que se desprende un rocío que con sus diminutas gotas todo lo pone «pingandu» (mojado). Eso en las noches más claras y abiertas. Por eso, para coyer el pan (recoger la espiga), tienen que estar los panzales muy secos y crespus (crujientes), para que arranquen bien de la paja las «arestouxas» espigas. Por tal razón siempre se espera que el padre sol los caliente y los enxugue (seque). Este trabajo está controlado por sí mismo, ya que se sabe fijamente lo que puede coyer nel díe 'n coyedor (el trabajo que puede hacer una persona). Si el panzal está entremedáu (caído, aplastado, entretejido por el mor del viento o las lluvias), el coyedor puede recoyer en la jornada sin dormirse una goxa (cestón muy grande, capaz de coger dentro de ella un hombre de mediana estatura sentado), si por el contrario el panzal se encuentra derecho en posición normal, y puede usar con asiduidad las «mexorias», tiene que recoger un par de goxes, por tal razón todo el mundo sabe aproximadamente lo que es su faena.Primer Diccionario Enciclopédicu de la Llingua Asturiana > apelucar
