Одна из самых нашумевших обструкций за историю палаты - выступления в 1977 сенаторов-демократов от штатов Огайо и Южная Дакота против снятия контроля за ценами на природный газ, продолжавшиеся несколько дней и ночей. В Палате представителей [ House of Representatives] такая тактика практически невозможна из-за существующих процедурных ограничений. -
