1911-1993Neoyorquino, Richard Sale es, sobre todo, escritor y guionista, y, ocasionalmente, director. Escritor desde muy joven, trabaja como corresponsal del “Saturday Evening Post” durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. En 1946 escribe su primer guion y en 1947 dirige su primera pelicula, hasta un total de doce. En este cometido no destaca especialmente, pero el azar lo ha convertido en un personaje cuyo nombre aparece con frecuencia en la bibliografia cinematografica, ya que realizo dos de las primeras peliculas en las que intervino Marilyn Monroe cuando todavia era una aspirante a estrella.
