En una filmografia riquisima, llena de aciertos, destacan, a mi juicio, dos peliculas bien alejadas en el tiempo; por una parte, la mitica La invasion de los ladrones de cuerpos (Invasion of the Body Snatchers, 1956), no estrenada comercialmente en Espana en su momento, pero bien conocida a traves de la pequena pantalla, perteneciente al genero fantastico, cuyo “mensaje” progresista esta muy lejos de la habitual soflama. La segunda, un filme atipico que podria no ser considerado como un western, pero que en decision personal he decidido incluir aqui, aunque solo sea por su localizacion temporal, la de la Guerra de Secesion norteamericana, es El seductor (The Beguiled, 1971), introspectiva y cruel como pocas peliculas pueden llegar a serlo. Con mas motivo aun, puede resultar extrano considerar que La jungla humana sea un western.
