1.3.6 подтверждение соответствия: Документальное удостоверение соответствия продукции или иных объектов, процессов производства, эксплуатации, хранения, перевозки, реализации и утилизации, выполнения работ или оказания услуг требованиям технических регламентов, положениям стандартов или условиям договоров.
1.3.7 полномочный (аккредитованный) сертификат (сертификат, выданный аккредитованным органом) (accredited certificate): Сертификат, выданный органом по сертификации в соответствии с условиями его аккредитации и снабженный знаком аккредитации или заявлением об аккредитации.
1.3.8 оценка (assessment): Деятельность, относящаяся к сертификации/регистрации какой-либо организации, имеющая целью определить, отвечает ли эта организация всем требованиям соответствующего стандарта, необходимым для предоставления (осуществления) сертификации и эффективного выполнения работ, включая анализ документации, аудит, подготовку и рассмотрение отчета (акта) по аудиту, а также другая деятельность, необходимая для получения достаточной информации для принятия решения о возможности предоставления (осуществления) сертификации.

1.3.9 логотип (знак соответствия) (logo): Символ или знак, обычно стилизованный, используемый органом как форма идентификации.
1.3.10 знак (марка) (mark): Юридически зарегистрированная торговая марка или же защищенный символ, который оформляется и применяется по правилам органа по аккредитации или органа по сертификации в целях свидетельства того, что орган работает в соответствии с правилами системы, что соответствующая продукция отвечает требованиям соответствующего стандарта.
1.3.11 несоответствие: Отсутствие или невыполнение одного или нескольких требований к системе менеджмента качества, или ситуация, которая на основании имеющихся объективных свидетельств может привести к значительным отклонениям качества продукции, поставляемой организацией.
Орган по сертификации свободен в определении различных градаций недостатков и областей улучшения [например, значительные и малозначительные несоответствия, уведомления (замечания) и т.п.]. Однако при всех недостатках, которые соответствуют приведенному определению несоответствия, необходимо выполнять требования 3.5.3 и 3.6.1.
