Apelucar es cortar, arrancar con las manos. «Apelucar l´ espiga » (arrancar la espiga de la paja). Apelucar lus arbeyus, lus fréxules, les zreizas, les fabes, etc., etc... (Recoger los guisantes, los fríjoles, las cerezas, las judías, etc., etc...). En este retazo de la poesía «L'Atapecer de L'Aldina», de Xulín de Lluza, se puede apreciar lo que significa la palabra apelucar, que con más asiduidad se nombra cuando se trata de la espiga. —Ya nun se macha l'espiga, / qu'apelucá nus panzales / s'embalaga n'antexana / d'enría de fortes mantes, / p'esfaela nes erguines / ximientes d'oitres panzales. —Ya nun se ven les muyeres / conel banu ente les manes, / banucandu 'xoforáes, / xebrandu la bona escanda / de les poxes esbítchaes. —Ya nun canten lus carrinus, / nun ruxen sous cantaories, / per el pesu d'esquirpiáes / d'espigues apelucáes / e nus roxinus panzales.
