❢ This much-used verb has no multi-purpose equivalent in French and therefore is very often translated by choosing a synonym: to get lunch = to prepare lunch = préparer le déjeuner. get is used in many idiomatic expressions ( to get something off one's chest etc) and translations will be found in the appropriate entry (chest etc). This is also true of offensive comments ( get stuffed etc) where the appropriate entry would be stuff. Remember that when get is used to express the idea that a job is done not by you but by somebody else ( to get a room painted etc) faire is used in French followed by an infinitive ( faire repeindre une pièce etc). When get has the meaning of become and is followed by an adjective (to get rich/drunk etc) devenir is sometimes useful but check the appropriate entry (rich, drunk etc) as a single verb often suffices ( s'enrichir, s'enivrer etc). Star-delta starting is the best known system and perhaps the commonest starting system at reduced voltage; it is used to start the motor reducing the mechanical stresses and limiting the current values during starting; on the other hand, it makes available a reduced inrush torque.

This system can be used for motors with terminal box with 6 terminals and double supply voltage.

It is particularly suitable for no-load starting or with low and constant load torque or lightly increasing load torque, such as in the case of fans or low power centrifugal pumps.

Making reference to the diagram of Figure 6, the starting modality foresees the initial phase with star-connection of the windings to be realized through the closing of the circuit-breaker, of the line contactor KL and of the star contactor KY.

After a suitable predetermined period of time, the opening of the contactor KY and the closing of KΔ allow switching to delta-connection, which is also the configuration of normal running position.

Разъединители служат для создания видимого разрыва, отделяющего выводимое в ремонт оборудование от токоведущих частей, находящихся под напряжением, для безопасного производства работ.
Разъединители не имеют дугогасящих устройств и поэтому предназначаются для включения и отключения электрических цепей при отсутствии тока нагрузки и находящихся только под напряжением или даже без напряжения. 5. Разъединители должны беспрепятственно включаться и отключаться при любых наихудших условиях окружающей среды (например, при обледенении).
6. Разъединители должны иметь надлежащую изоляцию, обеспечивающую не только надежную работу при возможных перенапряжениях и ухудшении атмосферных условий (гроза, дождь, туман), но и безопасное обслуживание.

Note: This much-used verb has no multi-purpose equivalent in French and therefore is very often translated by choosing a synonym: to get lunch = to prepare lunch = préparer le déjeuner

get is used in many idiomatic expressions ( to get something off one's chest etc) and translations will be found in the appropriate entry (chest etc). This is also true of offensive comments ( get lost etc) where the appropriate entry would be lost

Remember that when get is used to express the idea that a job is done not by you but by somebody else ( to get a room painted etc) faire is used in French followed by an infinitive ( faire repeindre une pièce etc)

When get has the meaning of become and is followed by an adjective (to get rich/drunk etc) devenir is sometimes useful but check the appropriate entry (rich, drunk etc) as a single verb often suffices ( s'enrichir, s'enivrer etc)
