Но талантливый режиссер Фил Карлсон становится в каком-то смысле жертвой собственных достоинств. Он так ярко и ошеломляюще завязывает действие, так точно, несколькими решительными штрихами, описывает всех персонажей, что довольно быстро растрачивает все возможности сценария, между тем довольно изобретательного. Карлсон - специалист по великолепным и ярким началам: он идет прямиком к цели, но ему каждый раз не хватает тонкости, конструктивности и подготовки, необходимых для того, чтобы выстроить таким же образом целый фильм.
