Филдза, выступающую с его репертуаром. Филдз приходит к Пэнгборну, чтобы прочитать ему свой последний сценарий, пока горничная делает уборку и отвечает на телефонные звонки.В этом сценарии Филдз путешествует на самолете с племянницей (причем в этом самолете есть даже кушетки). Позднее в мексиканской деревне, где Глория Джин поет с русскими крестьянами, Филдз узнает, что миссис Гемоглобин очень богата. Он возвращается к ней с твердым намерением жениться и избавляется от соперника, сбросив его в пропасть. Миссис Гемоглобин, похоже, готова ответить согласием. Ее дочь хочет выйти замуж за мэра деревни, с которым вдоволь наигралась в «скиджи». Но Глории Джин не нравятся эти планы, и она возвращает дядю на землю. Конец сценария.Пэнгборн в ярости. И все-таки, какого бы мнения мы о ней ни были, она не имеет ничего общего с тяжеловесным, вымученным чудачеством и надоедливыми намеками Распрочертовски, Hellzapoppin' (фильма, выпущенного студией «Universal» несколькими месяцами позднее). Напротив, иногда создается впечатление, будто публика здесь лишняя, будто это развлечение для своих, выпущенное «фабрикой грез» для собственного увеселения, попытка отвадить излишнюю серьезность, лекарство от переутомления, которое часто подстерегало тружеников Голливуда.
