Abelladar ou abétchadar, es el estado físico en el que se encuentra cualquier hembra preñada desde que cumplióu fasta que para. (Desde el día que ha cumplido los nueve meses de preñez, hasta que haya parido). Una vez que haya parido ya se denomina bétchar ou bellar. Tenu dos magüetes próximes abétchadar. En aquellos lonxes (lejanos) tiempos de miserias, un aldeano que mercara una bétcha por buena y le resultase mala, porque no trabayara nel xeitu de la xuenzura (trabajara en el lugar de la yunta), o por todos los otros defectos ya reseñados, digo, que si la vaca no le saliese buena, sería para él una pérdida mayor, que si hoy en el día se le queimase la teixada. Arrandiar ou arrendar, ou arrandar, es trabajar la tierra por última vez amontonándola en el tallo de las plantas. Esta delicada operación debe de hacerse con las plantas de las patatas antes de que éstas florezcan, pues ya cuando las plantas tienen flor es muy peligroso arrandarlas, porque ya tienen sus raíces muy extendidas y al arrandiarlas se pueden cortar parte de ellas, privando por esto a la planta de producir más abundante fruto. Con el maíz sucede lo mismo. Arriándame mio'amu endenantes de quiapanoye, arrímame la tierra 'n sen tarrones al lláu la tuca, ya s'endespós del mes de la yerba chueve, dareite dus panoches en vez d'una. (Trabájame mi amo antes de que me salga la panoja, arrímame bien la tierra sin terrones al lado de mi tallo, y después del mes de la hierba (Julio) si llueve, te daré dos panojas en vez de una). Nadie puede hablar de estas cosas con propiedad si en verdad no las ha vivido, no mirando cómo otros las efectúan, sino haciéndolas el mismo. Trabajar la tierra es un arte que no admite equivocaciones, equivócate en sembrar el maíz y tendrás media cosecha si es que viene buen año, fai lu mesmu 'l arriandalu, y'entóus fixiste trabayu pal diañu. (Haz lo mismo al arrandar y entonces has hecho el trabajo para el demonio). La mejor época para sembrar el maíz en las aldeas de las montañas, es cuando las hojas de la higuera son de crecidas como l' uréa d'un xatu mamón (la oreja de un ternero lechón). Y el mejor momento para arriandarlo es aquel cuando los ñarbaxus (plantas del maíz) aún no se atisba el síntoma de panojar. El maíz es una de las plantas más delicadas que existen, trabajándola y abonándola bien es muy agradecida, y te dará una excelente cosecha siempre que el año sea propicio. El maíz debe de arriandarse siempre en los días de amuga (nublos o de poco sol), por regla general al hacer este trabajo siempre hay que arrabucar (arrancar) muchas plantas, ya que de tallo a tallo debe de haber una distancia aproximada de cuarta y media. Las plantas que se arrancan se tiran, porque no sirven para nada, ya que si las comiesen así de bravas los ganados, podría originar en ellos algunas peligrosas enfermedades. Xeneral, general, en general todo, ya saben.————————Xeneral, general del Ejército en este caso el Xeneral Franco. —Como han podido ustedes observar, la Xuntura además de ser un diccionario de la Chingua d'Asturies es además como la historia en general de las costumbres y hechos que han sucedido en mi Tierrina, y el Xeneral Franco ha tenido mucho que ver por lo menos en lo que concierne a mi vida. Si no fuese el Xeneral Franco la República quizás hubiera ganado la guerra Civil Española, y al ser mi padre un gran republicano, muy culto y cabal, seguramente me hubiese proporcionado estudios, y yo sé que en cualquiera de ellos hubiese triunfado plenamente, olvidándome por encontrarme inmerso continuamente en el quehacer que tuviese, de lo que ahora estoy haciendo, pero el Xeneral Franco gano la guerra, y su régimen asesino a mi padre y me dejó a mi tirado siendo un niño en la cuneta de la vida como huérfano de los Rojos despreciado y olvidado de toda protección. A pesar de todo, yo en el transcurrir de mis años e ir dándome cuenta de lo que había sucedido, llegué a comprender en algunas cosas al Xeneral Franco, y por esta razón le he hecho este poema. —Con esto pretendo decir, que para hablar con cierta propiedad de las costumbres y forma de hablar de un Pueblo, hay que sin ningún genero de dudas haberlas vivido en todo su plenitud en el mismo lugar donde el ancestro vive, y el Xeneral Franco, por una serie de circunstancias todas nefastosas para mí, me condeno a hacerlo, ya que si él hubiese sido vencido por la República, yo hubiera tenido una carrera, y no podría ser el humilde y sencillo Xulín de LLuza, ni haber hecho la Xuntura, bajo ningún concepto ni forma. ¿Me comprenden verdad? —Vencer o Morir fue desde siempre la vida del Xeneral, el fue el general más joven del mundo en su época, el ganó la guerra de Marruecos en los años veinte para todos los españoles, porque me consta que derechistas e izquierdistas le aclamaron como el héroe que era, que desde la nada había subido al más alto escalón de los héroes de la Patria, vendiendo su vida en infinidad de combates por el amor que tenía hacía su España.
