¿To close o to shut?
To close hace referencia a acciones lentas y ocasiones formales o solemnes (cerró la puerta con cuidado para no despertar a los niños, he closed the door carefully so as not to wake up the children), mientras que to shut expresa más bien brusquedad, fuerza o rudeza: ¡Cállate!, Shut up! Cerró la puerta en mis narices. He shut the door in my face.

casi nunca, hardly ever
más que nunca, more than ever
nunca jamás, never ever: nunca jamás volveré a hacerlo, I'll never ever do it again ➣ Ver nota en never
Observa que nunca se traduce por never cuando no existe ningún otro elemento negativo en la frase: Nunca he ido a Moscú. I've never been to Moscow.
