(Ortiz). También llamado en Cuba "pachan", es el mazo de cujes o varillas de la muerte. Es un mazo de nueve cujes, o de tres, como de un metro de largo, amarradas en cada extremo, por una cinta roja formando un haz. Entre las dos cintas rojas de los extremos está amarrada hacia la parte del centro una cinta negra. A veces tiene atados de cintas de muchos colores para simbolizar a Oyá, que es la diosa del cementerio. El ikú achán se hace con varillas de moras silvestres, rascabarriga o de ítamo real, también llamado "gallito"; se puede hacer de varillas de cedro que no esté del todo seco. -
