Zar.44a what proof is there that vayissaém (2 Sam. 5:21) לישנא דדְרוּיֵי הוא Ar. a. ed. Pes. (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 7; ed. זרויי) has the meaning of scattering (to the winds)? Ans. (ref. to Is. 41:16) ומתרגמינן תדרינון (Ms. M. תבדר׳, ed. תזרי׳, v. supra) and we translate ( tissaëm) ‘shall scatter them. -

Ib. אי רגילת דדָרִית במתך דְּרִי if thou, in thy own place, art accustomed to carry (such things), carry it. Ab. Zar.44a it was a magnetic stone דהות דַּרְיָא ליה Rashi (ed. דרא, Yalk.
