gustar
I verbo intransitivo 1 me gusta el pan, I like bread
me gustaba su compañía, I used to like his company
(con infinitivo) me gusta escribir, I like to write o I like writing
me gustaría ir, I would like to go ➣ Ver nota abajo
2 frml cortesía: cuando gustes, whenever you like
¿gustas?, would you like some?
3 frml (sentir agrado o afición) gustar de, to enjoy: gusta de salir a pasear por las mañanas, he likes to have a walk in the morning
II vtr (degustar, probar) to taste
Gustar se traduce por to like: Me gusta esta música. I like this music.
I like to go to the dentist twice a year. Me gusta ir al dentista dos veces al año. Sería muy difícil que alguien dijera I like going to the dentist, porque significaría que disfruta haciéndolo.
En el modo condicional ( I would like) sólo se puede usar el infinitivo: I would like to go out tonight. Me gustaría salir esta noche.

Every year it awards prizes for poetry, drama, novels and essays written in any Latin-American language. The prize is the best known Latin-American literary award, and is given for individual works, rather than a writer's entire production. Many well-known Latin-American writers won the prize early in their career, or have served on its international jury.PREMIO CERVANTESEvery year since 1975, on April 23rd – the day Miguel Cervantes died – the Spanish Ministry of Culture has awarded its Premio Cervantes to a Spanish-language writer with a lifetime of literary achievement. The jury is made up of the Director of the Real Academia Española (Spanish Royal Academy), the Director of one of the equivalent Latin American academies, the previous year's winner and other prominent literary figures. It is considered the most prestigious award in the Spanish language (sometimes referred to as the "Spanish Nobel Prize") and those who receive it, such as Argentina's Jorge Luis Borges (1978), Mexico's Octavio Paz (1981), or Spain's Francisco Ayala (1991) and Miguel Delibes (1993), are major literary figures.* * *m prize* * *premio nm1) : prizepremio gordo: grand prize, jackpot2) : reward3) : premium* * *premio n1. * * *spanglish [es'panglis] nmSpanglishSPANGLISHSpanglish refers to a range of linguistic phenomena which result from the contact between English and Spanish. The Spanish spoken in the border region between the United States and Mexico contains many words which blend English and Spanish to create new words such as “ringuear” (to ring), “mopear” (to mop) and “groserías” (groceries - in standard Spanish this means “rude words or actions”). Speakers of Spanish living in the United States, whether descended from the original Spanish settlers or first, second or even third generation immigrants, can often use Spanish and English so interchangeably that, in what linguists call “code-switching”, single sentences can become a mixture of both languages, for example: “so you todavía haven't decided lo que vas a hacer”. Some regard such linguistic mixtures as inferior, or a semi-language, but their various forms are increasingly the subject of academic research. -
