Оптимум по Парето
Состояние экономики, характеризующееся таким распределением ресурсов и производства, при котором никакое их перераспределение не может улучшить благосостояние одного члена общества, не ухудшая при этом положение хотя бы одного другого человека. Основной задачей экономики благосостояния является анализ условий, при которых можно достичь оптимальности по Парето. Несмотря на важность критерия Парето для аналитического исследования, он ставит определенные рамки, т.к. не дает объяснения, каким образом необходимо делать выбор, который влечет за собой улучшение благосостояния одного человека за счет другого. Это серьезное ограничение, если принимать в расчет тот факт, что любая экономическая политика всегда наносит ущерб отдельным членам общества. Чтобы преодолеть этот недостаток, одни экономисты предлагали дополнить критерий Парето концепцией справедливости распределения, другие рассматривали возможность использования компенсационных критериев.
