Nota d'usoQuando sure e certain sono seguiti dall'infinito con to, si riferiscono al punto di vista di chi pronuncia la frase e non a quello del soggetto della frase stessa: My sister is sure to find a job soon, sicuramente mia sorella troverà presto un lavoro (non mia sorella è sicura di trovare presto un lavoro); We're sure to win, vinceremo di sicuro, sicuramente vinceremo (non siamo sicuri di vincere); They are certain to make it, certamente ce la faranno, ce la faranno di certo (non sono certi di farcela).
