  • 59 show

v 1. и to indicate. To indicate — слово письменной, книжной речи, to show — нейтральное.

    The results show/indicate that…

I showed him what I have written —

(3). Глагол to show 2.

Picasso's painting have been exhibited in galleries and museums all over the world — Картины Пикассо выставлялись в картинных галереях и музеях по всему миру.

The store windows were displaying all kinds of toys —

Русское выражение быть выставленным на обозрение соответствует английским оборотам to be on display/on show/on view.
