Убедившись в этом, Резаный дает знак Ринальдо расправиться с Лово.В расцвете сил и могущества Резаный уезжает на месяц во Флориду. Вернувшись домой, он узнает от матери, что Ческа живет с мужчиной. Он приходит к ней: она поет и играет на рояле с Ринальдо. Резаный немедленно убивает Ринальдо. «Я любила его! – кричит Ческа. – Мы поженились вчера! – И добавляет: – Ты любишь меня не как брат». Полиция решает перейти к действию и окружает дом Резаного. Анджело убит, вслед за ним погибает Ческа. Резаный свирепеет от мысли, что может ее потерять. Умирая, Ческа называет его трусом. Его подстреливают на тротуаре как собаку.► Резаный, плод независимого производства Хоукса и Хьюза, многое сделал для популяризации и признания жанра гангстерского кино. Фильм (главный герой которого списан с Ала Капоне) был снят в 1931 г., но вышел на экраны лишь в 1932-м из-за ряда неприятностей с цензурой. Хоукс вынужден был разработать 3 концовки. В 1-й (запрещенной) Резаный погибал от рук конкурентов. 2-я – та, что нам известна. 3-ю еще недавно можно было увидеть в копиях, разошедшихся по некоторым странам (напр., в Бразилии). В ней Резаный появляется на своем судебном процессе: именно тут его называют «позором нации» (shame of the nation) – это выражение сначала вынесли в подзаголовок фильма, но впоследствии от него отказались. Затем его отводят на эшафот. Его трусость еще более очевидна, чем во 2-й концовке, хотя там она достаточно сильно подчеркнута словами сестры и поведением перед полицейскими. Сцены, где комиссар сравнивает гангстеров с крысами или Гарстон, редактор газеты «Ивнинг Рекорд», подсказывает методы борьбы с гангстерами, добавлены по требованию цензуры.Может показаться странным, что Резаный столкнулся с проблемами такого рода: ведь в череде себе подобных этот фильм меньше всего прославляет своих героев. Во взгляде Хоукса легко читается приговор. Режиссер постоянно показывает безграмотность гангстеров, их инфантильность, ограниченное мышление, звериные повадки. В них так мало героического, что временами они становятся просто смешны – этим, кстати, создается столь любимое режиссером смешение интонаций. Только Ринальдо сохраняет некоторое достоинство, поскольку все больше молчит.Фильм, очень цельный, несмотря на рубленую конструкцию, раскрывает тему отстранение и в классическом стиле. Хоукс не раз подчеркивал, что они со сценаристом Беном Хектом выбрали семью Борджа за образец, по которому писался характер героя, в частности – его кровосмесительная ревность к сестре. Эта историческая отсылка не добавила повествованию никаких высших лирических или трагических смыслов. Доминирует тут, как и в большинстве фильмов Хоукса, бодрый критический дух, неизменно сухая интонация. В техническом плане Резаный отличается восхитительной зрелостью, естественностью, динамичностью – особенно для своего времени (1931 г.). Хоукс спокойно воспринял переход к звуковому кино. Его 1-е звуковые фильмы гармонично продолжают достижениях немых картин; рубеж пересечен без видимых усилий или простоев в творчестве.N.В.
