( בזק) breaking, crumbling, corrosion, whence 1) a foot-disease in animals believed to arise from vermin in consequence of a stroke of lightning; 2) moth-eaten condition of garments. B. Mets.78b (expl. הבריקה Mish.) אבזקת (Rashi אבזקא, Ms. M. אבוק, corr. ז for ו; cmp. Y. ib. VI, 11a top. s. v. בָּזָק) atrophy or paralysis of the feet.
