Mar.( ABBR OF March) -
22 Mar
The term used by native Indian weavers for the paste or size they use on their warp yarn. It is made of koie (paddy or rice, from which the husk has been removed by heated sand) and a small quantity of fine lime mixed with water. Rice has formed the basis of the size mixtures used in India for weaving since remote antiquity. -
