Entrambi possono essere usati per esprimere la possibilità che qualcosa sia vero o che accada in futuro: The painting might (o may) be a fake, il dipinto potrebbe essere un falso; però might rispetto a may si usa per descrivere qualcosa che è meno probabile: He may come early – he often does, potrebbe arrivare presto – lo fa spesso; He might come early, but I don't think he will, potrebbe arrivare presto, ma non credo lo farà.
