R. s. 41 (ref. to זונה, Ps. 73:27) שרחקו וזָנְחוּ הימך because they removed themselves from and were loth of Thee. Hif. הִזְנִיחַ 1) to declare rejectable, unclean; (cmp. זהם) to reject; (cmp. סאב, רחק) to remove. Ḥull.7a אין מַזְנִיחִין אותו we must not detest him (remove him from college). Pesik.
