Así que ahora es sustituida por la j.La letra r, aunque no constituye fonema propio de la lengua maya de Yucatán se encuentra actualmente en muchos giros lingüísticos prestados del español, por lo que quedó incluída.La w es letra española muy antigua y es grafía idónea para representar a la semiconsonante maya y además esta grafía tiene el mismo valor en el alfabeto fonético internacional empleado para muchas lenguas del mundo.La y, equivalente de ll en español, posee igual que la segunda, un mismo valor fonético y tiene la ventaja de representar el mismo valor en el alfabeto fonético internacional.La lengua maya posee el fonema oclusivo velar sordo al igual que la lengua castellana. Usualmente se presenta este fonema en español con la letra c ante las vocales a, o, u, al final de sílaba de palabra, por qu ante e y ante i, y por K ante cualquier vocal y en cualquier posición (aunque el uso de esta letra esté limitado a vocablos de origen extranjero). En este trabajo sólo utilizamos esta grafía evitando, por lo tanto, la consideración de las fastidiosas reglas ortográficas de c y qu; por otra parte la q tiene el inconveniente de que nunca se escribe sin la u, cosa que se agrava cuando representamos ese mismo fonema en su aspecto glotalizado.Hay que enfatizar que en la lengua maya se utilizan siete fonemas consonánticos que no existen en el español y que han sido representados aquí por:Respecto a ellos comentaremos lo siguiente:Se optó por emplear ts en lugar de la tz tradicional debido a que el "grafema" (la letra) z no tiene ninguna función en forma aislada y si se le pusiera rompería con el sistema propuesto al igual que la h en ch.Se consideró que en México y particularmente en Yucatán no se pronuncia el sonido característico de la z española sí en cambio, se escucha el sonido de s que representa al fonema fricativo alveolar sordo y que aparece independientemente en el alfabeto maya; formando el digrama (unión de dos símbolos gráficos o letras) ts representa el mismo valor que en el alfabeto fonético internacional. En apoyo a esto, diremos que en su carácter simple es utilizada por la mayoría de las lenguas que emplean el alfabeto "latino" para representar la misma articulación. Diremos también que el uso de ts permite la utilización de su homóloga glotalizada ts' que resulta ser una grafía más adecuada que dz.Para el fonema fricativo alveolar sordo utilizamos la representación gráfica de x, equivalente al sonido representado por sh en inglés o ch en francés.Se convino en aceptar el uso de la k (en lugar de la c) para representar el sonido oclusivo velar sordo, pues al glotalizarse sólo se añadirá el apóstrofo para representarlo (k') y de esta manera se evitaría la inclusión de c', como en c'u'uc' ( k'u'uk') "retoño o cogollo" de qu' (q'u), como en qu'ooc' ol (k'ook'ol) "sucio, manchado, impuro".No es conveniente emplear la c para representar el sonido simple y la k para el sonido glotalizado como se había estado haciendo tradicionalmente, puesto que se darían casos como éste: en castellano sonaría como s de cera y en maya como k de cih (kij) "henequén, agave", lo cual ha motivado ambivalencias o malas pronunciaciones que confunden y que deben evitarse.Para el fonema glotal u oclusivo glotal utilizamos el apóstrofo ('), porque principalmente ocurre con carácter diacrítico, o sea, acompañando a las siguientes consonantes: ch', k', p', t' y ts', que constituyen los fonemas glotalizados o con sonido especial, propio del maya yucateco.Como puede verse, el uso del apóstrofo como diacrítico para representar las consonantes glotalizadas, permite unificar a todas ellas alrededor de él. De aquí que sería conveniente el uso de ts' en lugar de dz, por una parte; por la otra, la d en forma aislada no tiene ninguna función en el idioma maya y rompe con el sistema al igual que su acompañante z.También hay que considerar que al catalogar las "ENTRADAS" en orden alfabético, la dz iría antes que la tz, mientras que todas las grafías glotalizadas normalmente aparecen después de sus homólogas simples, y si se enlistara a la dz después de la tz para mantenerlas juntas y así seguir la pauta establecida por las otras consonantes glotalizadas, se rompería el orden mundialmente establecido. Maereiru, maderero, persona que trabaja en la madera. Lo mismo fui maderero o serrador que viene a ser parecido. Empecé a trabajar cuando tenía doce o trece años, me recuerdo que me pagaban nueve pesetas diarias, disdi 'l albiar el díe fasta la sou tapecíe (desde que amanecía hasta que la noche llegaba), puedo asegurar que he tenido el mejor maestro xerrador d'Asturies, el más duro, el más repugnante, un hombre que durante el trabajo no hablaba nada más que de cuando se relacionara con él, no olvidare jamás que tanto a mí como a un hijo de él llamado Mual que componíamos el trío en el trabajo, nos trataba Nelín que era su padre, lo mismo que si fuésemos dos esclavos, muchas veces el condenado nus untaba 'l focicu conún faticáu d'ostiazus, ya nun yera desmediu cundu nus falagaba les mexiétches, pos apurríanus a entrambus cuaxi xempre lus mesmus ostiazus. Entonces él nos dijo que para cortejar no se necesitaba mucho tiempo si se sabía aprovechar, y que como todavía era céu, que íbamos a serrar un poco por la rolla, que era un trabajo que teníamos adelantado para mañana. Así pues que sin urniar pallabra (decir palabra) dimos comienzo a serrar por aquella rolla, él encima de ella y nosotros abajo y mientras que él desde arriba nos dominaba avasalladoramente y quizás riéndose para sus adentros, nosotros desde abajo muy silenciosamente a la par que trabajábamos en el durísimo trabajo de tirar por la sierra estábamos madurando la forma de deshacernos de él para poder marcharnos, porque por el sol, ya que reloj no teníamos, nos parecía que ya era. bastante tarde. El caso fuera, que Nelín al ver como yo se le escapaba me lanzo el condenado moqueteiru con tal acierto y fuerza que me dejó algo cojo durante alguno días. 1898-1959Nacido en Chicago, Preston Sturges se consolido, durante la primera mitad de los anos 40, como uno de los grandes nombres de la comedia. Su verdadero nombre era Edmond P. Biden, Jr., pero el divorcio de sus padres y el posterior matrimonio de su madre con el financiero Solomon Sturges le sugirieron el cambio de apellido. Educado en escuelas privadas de Francia, Alemania y Suiza, pretendio emular los exitos financieros de su padrastro dirigiendo durante un tiempo la empresa de cosmeticos de su madre. Invento, al parecer, un lapiz de labios a prueba de besos, pero ya a finales de los anos 20 decidio escribir para el teatro. El paso siguiente fue Hollywood, donde llego a comienzos de los 30. Despues de trabajar para otras productoras, en 1935 se establecio en Paramount, donde escribio guiones y, en su mo mento, rodo sus propias peliculas. En efecto, co mo tantos otros, opto por dirigir sus propios guiones a partir de 1940. Con su primera pelicula, The Great McGinty (1940), logro el Oscar al Mejor Guion. Entre 1940 y 1943 hace ocho peliculas, lo mejor y, en realidad, casi la totalidad de su obra. Los habituales problemas con la productora motivaron la salida del es tudio de Sturges que, en adelante, solo dirigiria otros cuatro filmes, entre 1947 y 1957, entre ellos uno en Francia que seria el ultimo de su filmografia, Los carnets del mayor Thompson (Les carnets du Major Thompson), que resultaria un fracaso total. Las tres noches de Eva (The Lady Eve) y Sullivan’s Tra vels, ambas de 1941 son tal, vez, las mejores de un conjunto de comedias entre las que no resulta facil elegir. Fala, Lengua de Asturias. Yo he luchado en solitario durante toda mi existencia en la defensa de la Fala y Costumbres de mi Tierrina, porque he considerado que los Ancestros de Asturias son llana y concisamente las Raíces principales de la Patria España, que no sé porque razón de fondo, casi toda la Comunidad Hispana y inclusive gran parte de los mismos astures quieren desterrar, sepultar, olvidar, sin detenerse a pensar, que todo ser que pierde sus verdaderas raíces se deshumaniza, en el lleldar que se convierte en esclavo de un materialismo, tan sumamente exigente y explotativo, que le va marchitando la parcela divinizante de su espíritu, y un ser Humano con esta parcela muerta, por muy inteligente y preparado que se crea, en el fondo simplemente tan sólo es una mala bestia. Y sujetos con esta despreciable catadura yo he conocido muchos en mi Tierrina y conozco a muchos. Por ejemplo ahora, en el año mil novecientos ochenta, época en que estoy reformando algunas partes de este Diccionario, para atajar a los depredadores que con títulos y apoyos quieren mistificar con ridículas y estercolosas maneras, la natural y sencilla cultura de mi amada Asturias, dígoles que malas bestias son todos aquellos dirigentes que no quieren proteger las raíces del Pueblo que malamente gobiernan y despóticamente explotan, como lo están haciendo el alcalde de Oviedo, el de Gijón, el de Avilés, Piedras Blancas, Pola de Siero, el presidente de la llamada Junta de Asturias, con todos sus subordinados de caga la perra, el presidente de la Caja de Ahorros, etc., etc. Por otra parte este diccionario yo lo he hecho, quiero decir, sus vocablos muchos de ellos sin respuesta, hacia el año mil novecientos sesenta y cinco, en mil novecientos setenta edité unas cuatro mil palabras de este diccionario, que sirvieron para que los del Conceyu Bable pudieran hacerse notar editando un nuevo diccionario, que no les costó más trabajo, que copiar el mío haciéndole más fino y propagandístico, lo mismo que también intentaron hacer los Amigos del Bable, pues el tal Novo Mier-da, pues también empezó en el diario Región a publicar mi propio diccionario a la par que pedía al público que le enviasen vocablos, pensando él con su "rancuayu envidayaxe, que los Vocablos de Mi Tierrina eran meros desperdicios que rodaban a mamplen por todas las aldeas menos en su casa que al parecer no había ninguno y claro no había ninguno porque los Vocablos de mi Tierrina aun considerándolos como desperdicios, es menester sudarlos para poder conseguirlos, y no como desperdicios ya, sino convertidos en "soberanos Senores” en gran arte alumbradores de la cultura de la Hispanidad. En el año mil novecientos setenta y cinco o setenta y seis, no recuerdo bien, entre en contacto por mediación de tampoco se quién, ah… ahora, ya re recuerdo, porque en mis tiempos de pastor había, yo descubierto una mina de manganeso y en casa de mi madre había unas piedras que hacía más de treinta años que no bajara de la mina de manganeso, así es que las cogí y me fui a visitar con ellas al catedrático de minas García Conde, y hablando con él de cosas de Asturias, llegué a decirle que yo tenía un diccionario de la Lengua y algunas costumbres de nuestra Tierrina, y él me dijo que estaba con plaza en el Instituto de Estudios Asturianos, que le entregase el diccionario que fácil me podrían ayudar a publicarlo. Pero lo que hizo este catedrático fue entregarle mi honrado trabajo a Novo Mier, y menos mal que el diccionario estaba en porricas (desnudo) ya que muchos de sus vocablos no tenían ninguna respuesta, pero sí que le dieron la licenciatura al Novo Mier, para industriar su diccionario, que es un verdadero atentamiento criminal contra la "CHINGUA DE MIOU TIERRINA”. Hay que tener una cara tan grande como la luna, y un desconocimiento tan grande como el Sol de la Fala y Costumbres de mi Tierrina, para parir ese estercolero de diccionario que él editó. Pues tan sólo es creíble de él, los vocablos con respuesta que de mi trabajo me arrapiegóu. Yo sé positivamente que algún día algún asturiano amará la Lengua y las Costumbres de mi Tierrina lo mismo que lo hago yo, pero con la inmensa ventaja de tener inteligentes estudios y no ser un zoquete como lo soy yo, digo que ese astur, sabrá sacar sólo y exclusivamente provecho de la documentación que yo deje o tenga, para hacer una sencilla, hermosa y natural Lengua en nuestra Asturias, que servirá no para avanzar con ella en busca del progreso que nos hará en inmortales dioses, pues para eso tenemos el mejor y más amplio idioma de la Tierra como es su Majestad el Idioma Español, pero sí que servirá para entretenimientos, felices y hermosos momentos, etc. Ahora sólo le ruego al Hacedor que me permita vivir para poder gozar este momento, que yo creo que no debe de encontrarse muy lejano.Primer Diccionario Enciclopédicu de la Llingua Asturiana > fala

Llueca, así se llama al pequeño cencerro. La llueca principalmente se les pone a las ovejas o a los burros ningún vaqueiru que se tenga por tal, se le ocurririría poner una llueca o chocaretu a una de sus vacas. En esto de los cencerros existen muchas formas de ellos, desde luego el más principal es la esquila, que se le suele poner a las vacas bétchas (paridas) o dando buen lleichi. Después esté la esquiloná, que los carreteros solían poner a sus bueyes o poderosas vacas de carretero, luego los zumbiétchus que son cencerros de tamaño mediano, y después los zumbus, que estos si son grandes cencerros. Los zumbiétchus y los zumbos son los más usados para colocarlos a lo ganados cuando se llevan al puerto. Yo he oído hablar a un carretero de la Riera, que la esquiloná para los bueyes o las vacas carreteras, o los mismos caballos de tiro, etc., no solamente era un ornamento de lujo, sino un aliciente armonioso y les agradaba grandemente a los animales que los hacía más nobles y obedientes, y más fogosos en el tiro. Pasa lo mismo que la esquila para las vacas bétchaes, una vaca parida con esquila se siente más importante que las demás, esto lo he observado yo mismo muchas veces, yo no sé si darían más leche por el mero hecho de lucir la esquila, pero si tuviera que apostar yo juraría que una vaca parida con esquila da más leche que otra que no la lleve.Primer Diccionario Enciclopédicu de la Llingua Asturiana > llueca
