8 Rickrack Braid
A flat braid, made in zig-zag form in several widths of cotton, mercerised, white and colours. Used for trimming dresses, pillow cases, underwear, etc. ———————— A form of open-work trimming, made with serpentine braid. -

A trimming braid, made with five threads, each thread passing alternately under and over two threads, giving the small basket weave effect. -
10 Chintz Braid
Cotton braid, printed and finished like chintz; used for dress trimming. -
11 Milan Braid
A corded flat mohair braid, used for trimming. -
12 Military Braid
A broad braid such as is worn on the tunics of soldiers. Sometimes fashionable as trimming for ladies' coats and dresses. -
13 Oripeaw Braid
Braid and galloon made in France of imitation gold, used for trimming costumes, fancy dresses and furniture. -
14 President Braid
A woven twill braid with diagonal ribs, used for trimming. -
15 Rat-Tail Braid
A small, tubular silk braid resembling a rat's tail. Used for trimming purposes. -
16 Rice Braid
A braid used for trimming and fancy work. It consists of a core yarn having alternate thick and thin places entirely covered with a fine thread wound around. Supplied white and in colours and mostly of cotton. -
17 Star Braid
A cotton braid woven 11/2-in. wide with small stars in white every 11/2-in. The ground is either red or blue. Used for dress trimming or crochet work by stitching many widths together for chair backs, etc. -
