'Box and Cox' — название комедии, поставленной в XIX в., которая рассказывала об истории двух мужчин, Бокса и Кокса, снявших одну и ту же комнату у пройдохи-домохозяйки. Так как один жилец работал днём, а другой — ночью, то они не подозревали о существовании друг друга. Отсюда произошёл глагол to box and cox, означающий жонглировать, манипулировать, ловчить, постоянно рискуя.I can use the room in the morning for English and you can have the same room in the afternoon for Russian.
