    1.
BEYOND, BEHIND Behind означает 'непосредственно за' (на близком, реже отдаленном расстоянии от говорящего): behind one's back, behind the house. Beyond имеет значение 'позади, за, по ту сторону' и всегда предполагает большую или меньшую отдаленность от говорящего: beyond the sea, beyond the mountains. 2. BEHIND, AFTER Синонимичные предлоги направления behind и after означают 'позади, сзади, за' и различаются тем, что behind предполагает движение по другую сторону, позади неподвижного предмета, a after имеет в виду движение вслед за движущимся объектом: to walk to and fro behind the fence, to disappear behind a mountain, но to run after a moving tram.
