Arrátchar es limpiar el estiércol de los establos. Ejemplo: —Tenu qu' arrátchar la corte, pos ya finquen les vaques col chumbu nel treme del payar. (Tengo que limpiar la cuadra, porque ya tocan las vacas con el lomo en el piso del pajar). En casi todas las cuadras de aldea, y en todas las de las brañas de los prados, morteiras y puertos, el pajar está situado mismamente encima de la cuadra. Una corte sen payar, ye lu mesmu que una teixá sen llar. (Una cuadra sin pajar, es lo mismo que una casa sin lar). Una vez sucedió este caso en una aldea donde yo estuve trabajando y por ser curioso y creo que hasta simpático, se lo voy a contar a ustedes tal como ha sucedido. —Subían los vaqueirus todas las tardes como siempre solían hacerlo, en el tiempo de la xeronda (otoño) que fue cuando aconteció esta historia, digo que xubíen faer la braña a la cotchá d'Aciera. (Hacer el ordeño y todas las faenas que conciernen al ganado a la Collada de la aldea de Aciera). En esta aldea vivía una mozacona (mozona) solterona, roxa comu las panoyas, con bones ñalgues ya prefechu entamu, abondu dada nel faer favores a lus homes s'ístus chávanie la gavita nus sous trabayus, que yeren tous lus que se llelden na llabrancia, ya per istas gavitas que le faian echa añuedaba 'l cibiétchu conechus fatáus d'endeveces. (Rubia como las panojas, con buenas nalgas y soberanas tetas, muy dada en el hacer favores a los hombres, si éstos le ayudaban en sus trabajos, que eran todos los que se hacen en la labranza, y por estas ayudas que le hacían, ella efectuaba el amor con ellos cuantas veces fuera necesario. (Hoy tengo mucho trabajo que hacer en la cuadra, decía Agapita, pues desde que ha comenzado la braña este otoño en la Collada, no hice nada más que meter cestas de hoja debajo de las patas de las vacas, sin limpiar el estiércol ni una sola vez, así es que tengo que entrar agachada en la cuadra, por que ya tropieza mi cabeza en el piso del pajar). (¡No te preocupes mujer, le respondió Luis, pues si me dejas hacer el amor contigo nada más que lleguemos a la cabaña, yo limpio todo el estiércol de la cuadra rápidamente!). (La Agapita puso sus ojos con una dulce mirada encima del deseoso Luis y le dijo con mimosa voz: —Tengo de acostarme en el pajar debajo de tu bragueta, pero después que me limpies el estiércol de las vacas, porque te veo hoy muy deseoso, y si comenzamos hacer el amor antes de que me limpies la cuadra, oscurecerá el día y todavía estaremos abrazados uno encima del otro). Llegaron al fin a la cabaña de la Agapita, se quitó Luis con rapidez la chaqueta, se arremangó su camisa por encima de los codos, asió con decisión la pala de dientes, y dio comienzo su faena con la imaginación puesta en el placer que recibiría una vez que terminase el arduo trabajo que con tanto ahínco había comenzado. Pronto el sudor envolvió el vigoroso cuerpo de Luis que desaforadamente trabajaba sin tomarse el menor descanso, pero el abono que había dentro de la cuadra era tanto, que le costó casi dos horas de enconado esfuerzo en poder del todo sacarlo, y cuando al final tras la contentosa sonrisa de Agapita que en todo momento mirándole ladinamente le estuvo observando, el escuaxaringáu (deshecho) Luis terminó su faena, se encontraba tan sumamente cansado, que a la par que se limpiaba el abundante río de sudor que manaba de su frente, le dijo a la Agapita a la sazón que se sentaba en el pesebre al lado de ella: ¡Ahí mióu nena, tou esgoncionáu d'afechu, tenu 'l cumal tan endolloríu comu se m'apurrieren d'enría d'él un mamplenáu de galgazus, paime a mín, que nun arrátchaste ‘l cuchu d'ista corte, disde 'l díe que la fexu 'l defuntu tou pá! ¡Home Chuisín tantu non, qu’el anu paxáu arrátchoula Xuan el Chocaretu, ya según el miou paicer, nun quedóu tan escuaxaringotáu comu tou lu tás n’agora. Claro que no tenia tanto ganado como tengo este año! ¡Haz el favor Agapitina, no hace falta nada más que poner los ojos encima de esa pila de abono que está en medio de la corralada, para uno darse cuenta, de que he sacado de esta sucia cuadra, más de una docena de carros de el país llenos de estiércol. Así es, que he quedado falto de fuerzas para hacerte el amor, y te juro querida, que aunque el amor me diese la mujer más hermosa del mundo, y se pusiera ahí delante de mi, con las sayas levantadas y acostada, rogándome y haciendo espera para que yo me ajinetase encima de ella, júrote de nuevo, que hoy nada podría yo hacerle. Y sin mediar más palabras, armado Luis de nuevo con una fuerza y ardor superior al que empleara cuando comenzó a limpiar la cuadra, dispúsose a introducir todo el estiércol que habla sacado otra vez dentro de la cuadra, y fue entonces cuando la Agapita posesionada de una envenenadora rabia se puso delante de él, y arremangando las sayas hasta por encima del ombligo, enseñándole sus piernas y todo cuanto el Hacedor de mujer le había dado, escupiéndole a la cara le dijo: —Tóu nun yes home, nin yes prexona, nin yes nagua, perque you to' ufreciéndute tóu lu qu'axustante coumigu, axina ye, qu'aquinde te lu dóu, paque cobres per echu 'l trabayu que me fixiste, cuétchelu fasta que te fartes, ya deixame 'l cuchu nel chugar que tá, se quiés que tenamus la festa na paz. (Tu no eres hombre, ni persona, ni nada, porque yo te estoy ofreciendo todo cuanto has ajustado conmigo, así es, que aquí te lo doy, para que cobres por ello el trabajo que me has hecho, recoge cuanto quieras hasta que te hartes, y deja el estiércol en el lugar que está, si quieres que tengamos la fiesta en paz). Luis miró a la Agapita con asco, con desprecio, dentro de la endemoniada ira que no admitía más razón, que la que el propio ser de antemano ya se había industriado, por esto, asiendo con la pala una gran palada de estiércol, la lanzó con todas sus fuerzas entre las blancas y desnudas piernas de la Agapita, que le hizo perder el equilibrio y caerse cuan larga era en mitad de la cuadra, y aunque se incorporó con la rapidez de una felina fiera, no fue lo suficientemente ágil, para librarse de otras dos paletadas que desaforadamente le lanzaba el enardecido Luis, dentro del afán desmedido de concluir con prontitud lo que se había propuesto. Entafarnada (llena) de estiércol la Agapita, y acolmenadu su cerebro con tan macabras intenciones que de contentura le hacían sonreir al diablo, asió con celeridad un rátchun (rastrillo de madera) y dio tan grande mazazo encima de la cabeza del furuxu (furioso) Luis, que éste no pudo ver nada más que una procesión de estrellas que adormecían atropelladamente su cerebro. Al caerse en grotesca postura el desventurado Luis y manar de su cabeza un escandaloso reguero de sangre, detuviéronse los encendidos y asesinos ánimos de la Agapita, y en su lugar, alumbrose la humana condolencia, conducida por una pena que hasta el miedo la arrastraba, y navegante ya en el tenebroso suplicio de saberse dueña del delito que había cometido, sus ojos dieron comienzo a un caudaloso río de lágrimas, y de su garganta entrecortadas por los suspiros, brotaron estas lamentosas y condolientes palabras: ¡Ay má d’el miou alma, que fó lu que fixe, qu’achuquinéi ‘sti home. ¿Quéi cuntu a les xentes cundu tóes xunies sen faeme deximes queran confundime? (¡Ay madre del alma, que fue lo que hice, he matado a este hombre! ¿Qué les digo yo ahora a las gentes cuando todas unidas sin darme disculpas pretendan confundirme?). Y así por el estilo, con otros rosarios de afligidas penas y sonados suspiros, se condolía la Agapita, sin saber por el camino que había de ensenderarse, para que le proporcionara un alivio a sus desesperantes tristezas.
