116 die in one's boots
(die in one's boots (тж. die with one's boots on))1) умереть за работой, умереть на своём посту; см. тж. die in harnessI suppose I'll have to retire one day, but that's a long way off. I'd much rather die in my boots. (Gr. Greene, ‘The Heart of the Matter’, book I, part I, ch.
тж. die with one's boots offThey killed each other on slight provocation, and hoped and expected to be killed themselves - for they held it almost shame to die otherwise than "with their boots on"... (M. Twain, ‘The Innocents at Home’, ch.
If you keep on slinging your six-shooter around loose... you will... die with your boots on. (J. Miller, ‘Life Amongst Modocs’, Suppl) —

117 Newfield, Sam
Undercover Men. 1935. 60 minutos.
