Ar. ξύλα ὑπὸ ϑριπῶν βεβρωμένα, οἷς ἐσφράγιζον, so auch Hesych., oder nach Lessing: mit so seinem Stich, als hätte sie der Wurm zernagt; Harpocr. aus Hyperid. führt Ἑλλάδα ϑριπήδεστον an, für διεφϑαρμένην. Die Lesart ϑριπηδέστατος scheint falsch, s. aber Pausan. bei Eust. 1403, 38 u. vgl. ϑριπώδης.
