38 sow the dragon's (or dragons') teeth
"ceять зубы дpaкoнa", ceять paздopы, вызывaть вoйну [этим. миф.]In one small village the dragon's teeth had been sown again and the crop would sprout inevitably, into armed men (M. West). The survival of private enterprise now depends on subsidy and patronage: no amount of juggling with tax rates will alter the fact. But the danger is that Mrs. Thatcher will try, that she will sow dragon's teeth among the resentful middle-class, that she will, in short, sharpen appetites that she cannot satisfy (New Statesman)Concise English-Russian phrasebook > sow the dragon's (or dragons') teeth

39 beg the question
1. Beg the question - assume (usually unjustifiably) the truth of the matter that is in question (A.S. Hornby).
2. You're begging the question. —
3. This still begs the question as to whether...
4. the danger that the question may be begged —

40 beg the question
•• Beg the question assume (usually unjustifiably) the truth of the matter that is in question (A.S. Hornby).
You’re begging the question. This still begs the question as to whether... Webster’s: the danger that the question may be begged.
