    שוּכְתָּאm. (Shaf. of נְכַת; v. שתך) corrosion, rust (cmp. Lat. morsus). Sabb.65a אלא משום ש׳וכ׳ but (if a coin is chosen to be put on a callus on the sole of the foot) on account of the corrosion (which softens the callus), let a metal foil be used!
