(1838-1886) Ричардсон, Генри ХобсонАрхитектор. Окончил Гарвардский университет [ Harvard University] (1859) и Школу изящных искусств в Париже (1865). Использовал формы романского стиля для создания эффектных архитектурных композиций, создав неповторимый "романский стиль Ричардсона" [Richardsonian Romanesque]. Функционально четко организуя постройки, заложил основы рационализма в американской архитектуре. Деревянные дома Ричардсона положили начало т.н. гонтовому [shingles] стилю компактных и удобных жилищ. Среди зданий, построенных по его проектам, Церковь Троицы [Trinity Church] в г. Бостоне (1873-77), универмаг "Маршал Филдс" [ Marshall Field's] в г.
