Восстание фермеров в 1799 под руководством Дж. Фриза [Fries, John] в Пенсильвании против введения прямого федерального налога на землю и жилые дома. Восставшие женщины поливали оценщиков из окон кипятком, поэтому восстание вошло в историю также под названием "Восстание с кипятком" [Hot Water Rebellion]. Было подавлено правительственными войсками, а Фриз приговорен к смертной казни, но затем помилован президентом Дж.
