    1922-2001
       Empezo como guionista de radio despues de la Se gunda Guerra Mundial. A partir de 1956 lo en contramos escribiendo modelicos guiones para algunos de los memorables westerns de Budd Boetticher. En 1961 debuta como director con The Canadians, pe ro ni en esa ni en los restantes westerns de su filmografia brilla a la misma altura que en sus guiones previos. Continuo no obstante reali zandolos (la mayor parte de su filmografia esta formada por westerns), hasta que la perdida de popularidad del genero le hizo girar la vista a la television, donde encontro acomodo. Kennedy adorna algunos de sus westerns con toques de comedia no siempre afortunados.

En lo que se refiere a Edward Killy, sin embargo, no se puede hablar de dos tareas ejercidas sucesivamente, porque Killy, debido tal vez a su poca fuerza como director, volvio con frecuencia a sus tareas anteriores. Le dio tiempo, no obstante, para dirigir 12+1 westerns, escasamente estimulantes. Sus ultimas acreditaciones, como ayudante de direccion ya que dejo de dirigir peliculas en 1945, datan de 1957.

       Hermano menor de Henry King y, a la larga, mucho menos relevante que el, nacio tambien en Chris tianburg. Empieza a dirigir en 1921. A comienzos del sonoro se ocupa de las versiones espanolas de peliculas de la Fox, con un tal Luis Alonso, que despues seria famoso con el nombre de Gilbert Roland. De los 38 westerns que se le acreditan, 21 son mudos. En la actualidad, los filmes de Louis King, que ceso en su actividad de cineasta en 1959 despues de algunas realizaciones para television, apenas se ven, ni en la pantalla grande ni en la pequena.

A destacar Sitting Bull, un acercamiento serio a la ba talla de Little Big Horn, parte destacada de la historia americana. Tambien, The Iron Sheriff y La gran matanza de los sioux.
